The Enhanced Length Measurement option provides additional information about measured lengths, and integrated support for building and manipulating species data files.
Using this option, PhotoMeasure retains a record of all species information used to identify measured objects.
The species information can be viewed or edited within Photomeasure, and can be imported or exported as a text file for use in other software.
Enhanced Length Measurement provides the following information for each measurement (bolded labels are defined in the diagram below):
- Measured length and precision.
- An indiction of measurement quality.
- Mid-point coordinates (useful in transect definition).
- Range, the distance of the measured object from the camera system.
- 3D Direction, the 3D angle between the camera system Z axis and the measured object mid-point.
- Horizontal and vertical direction, the orientation of the measured object resolved in vertical and horizontal components with respect to the camera system.
